Directed Energy Handheld System
Lumpi designs and manufactures directed energy handheld LASER based systems for industrial and restoration use. The systems are assembled and tested in the UK and thus are fully supported for maintenance and service locally.
Our Laser Blaster 300 is the system of choice for most surface cleaning applications including rust, oxidation, paint, oil, biofilm, soot and traffic pollution deposits, rubber, drinkables residue and other contaminants from surfaces. The process makes use of the pulsed emission of the laser source to ablate or detach the contaminants from the substrate surface. Due to the pulsed operation there is no damage to the substrate and no significant heating. The system delivers 300W of power suitable for most types of laser cleaning.
Our technology is based on an enhanced fibre laser source coupled with a handheld device optical tool that scans the beam in a line over the object being cleaned. It features a long focal length lens of 250mm for comfortable cleaning of reliefs and complex surfaces. The beam is delivered through a default of 3m length fibre conduit while longer lengths of up to 20 m are available on order. The whole system is air-cooled for operation in environments with a maximum of 35 oC ambient temperature and a rugged industrial design for shop floor or remote site deployment. A water cooled option is also available on order, as well as a splash proof configuration for more challenging operating environments like boats, offshore or oil & gas installations.
